Aleksandra's Note:In July of this year, 2016, the St. Sava Serbian Museum, previously a cultural center, located at 448 W. Barry Ave. in Chicago was listed as being on sale for $3.85 million. It has come to my attention that five offers have been made and the highest offer of $3.928 million has been accepted and the contract signed. The closing is scheduled for January 2017 pending all the necessary procedures going through as planned.
The buyer, who prefers to remain unidentified, intends to demolish the St. Sava Serbian-American Museum on Barry Ave. and build high-end condominiums in that location that will retail for over $1 million each.
If the closing goes through as planned, the next step will be to find a suitable location for the new St. Sava Museum and cultural center that will flourish in the Chicagoland area.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to VESNA NOBLE at (773) 549-9690.
Sincerely,
Aleksandra Rebic
